Youngest son of the noted scholar and Chorherr in Zurich, Johann Jakob Amman, a friend of Ulrich Zwingli and Konrad Gessner. Known for his book about Renaissance woodcuts for artists and Illustrators, known as the "Kunstbuchlin," and other works.
