Edition: Third edition. In Théodore Duret, Die Impressionisten (Berlin: Verlag von Bruno Cassirer, 1909), between pp. 8–9. The plate has two round cancellation holes at left and right as recorded by Bailly-Herzberg.

Provenance / Collectors' marks: The book was a gift from George W. Davison to Wesleyan University in 1938, per a letter from Davison enclosed in the book.

According to Bailly-Herzberg, the model was Jeanne-Marie Fourmanoir, who posed for a painting by Morisot in 1887.
