Provenance / Collectors' marks: Queen Victoria (Lugt 2535) [stated on label from Harlow, McDonald & Co., verso of frame; not verified from Royal Stamp on print, verso, since mounted down. In 1906, Edward VII sold Queen Victoria’s collection (Mansfield 1909, liii) to Thos. Agnew & Sons (London), where it was bought by H. Wunderlich & Co., New York, NY, from whom it was probably acquired by Harlow, McDonald. See donor file for labels from old backing.
The DAC also holds a different impression.
