Related Works: The engraver’s drawing reproduces the figures of St. Francis and the infant Christ as they appeared in Rubens’s painting of this subject in St. Anthony’s Church in Antwerp. The model for this drawing, which was in Josi’s collection in Amsterdam, although possibly by Rubens, is probably by M. Lasne who was an engraver and etcher (ca. 1590–1667).
