LANGDON KIHN” and date; inscribed, lower left: 1921 copyright notice; inscribed in ink on verso: notes by the artist regarding the subject and stating that he was adopted into the Blackfeet Indian Tribe, 1920, as "Chase-Enemy-Ein-Water" (Zoi-ock-Ka-tsai-ya) and was a member of the Ancient Society of Buffalo dancers; pictograms and notes on exhibition of other works (see Kihn file for complete text of verso notes)
