Provenance / Collectors' marks: Purchased about 1861 by Frederick A. Chauncey and his wife Esther Wetmore Cryder on their honeymoon in Paris. Frederick Chauncey was the son of Henry Chauncey and Lucy Alsop Chauncey; donor is great-grandson of Lucy Alsop Chauncey.
