Luca Cambiaso

Italian painter and printmaker
Italian, (1527–1585)
Dominant figure in Genoese painting in the 16th century and the founder of the Genoese school. He is noted for his night scenes, simplified forms, and use of dry paint; two major influences on his work were Michelangelo, seen in his massive figures, and Correggio, for his soft modelling.
