Marks: Watermark: Indecipherable fragments along right margin, visible as left margin on verso; resembles Clocks nos. 336–341 (plate 51) in Heawood, although per Heawood (p. 71) such watermarks did not appear until after 1664
Provenance / Collectors' Marks: Fritz Rumpf (Lugt 2161)
Bibliography: Bartsch 79; Hind 173; White and Boon first or second of two states (previously cataloged as first state, but see White and Boon on “fine reworking between Christ’s head and scroll above him” (p. 76) in second state.
