Edition: Monochrome restrikes from blocks (cut ca. 1807–1818) in DAC collection; proofs pulled with Ray Grimaile in Russell T. Limbach’s workshop, Summer 1953
Marks: Inscribed in ink in Japanese characters, on paper affixed to sides of blocks: “Kunisada / The Early Years / The Reign Period”
Provenance / Collectors' Marks: The woodblocks from which this restrike was printed were purchased by the donor from a New York dealer in 1953.
