Marks: Signed in plate and marked off in pencil, upper left quadrant: “tohuB”; inscribed in ink, upper left: “Bon à tirer”; inscribed in pencil below: “pour mon compt Ch D”; inscribed in another (third) hand: “1er Etat Bon á tirer avec l’ecriture de Richard Lesclide”; inscribed in pencil on verso: “To Howard Mansfield Esq. ‘hommage sympathetique’—Max Williams, Nov. 6th 1889”
