Print impression quality: Good
Edition: Complete edition, states I-IV, was issued as follows: I: 1 trial proof before steel-facing, signed; II: 60 impressions printed by F. Goulding after the plate was steel-faced, signed in pencil “F. Goulding Imp.” and “D. Y. Cameron”; III: 85 impressions on Japanese vellum; IV: 500 impressions on "antique paper" (Rinder). This was a “Presentation plate” made for the Art Union of Scotland.
Marks: Inscribed in plate below title, lower right: “Etched by D. Y. Cameron for the Art Union of Scotland 1896”
Provenance / Collectors' Marks: M. Knoedler & Co. (when this impression was purchased by the donor in 1986, an M. Knoedler & Co. label was glued to the paper backing of its seemingly original frame).
