Green 1927”; accompanied by note: “This is a print from my first plate—an etching done in 1927, Oct. or Nov., after my first trip abroad, at 18—It’s an etching long before I learned to drypoint. This is just a memento for you—nothing special. But somewhat symbolic if for nothing else than its rarity. I think its the last impression made as it is / Sam”
