Marks: Embossed with artist’s or firm’s name, lower right: [illegible]; inscribed in ink, upper left: “Bobby De Rue—Barnum Willie. for 1/2 tone for Photo No. 8.”; inscribed in ink, lower center: “Make 1/2 tone from above lead pencil mark only giving the full circle of foot lights so as to not expose the orchestra pit.”; inscribed in pencil, center left: “<- 3 1/2 ->”; inscribed in pencil, upper center: “<- 5m ->”
Provenance / Collectors' Marks: Purchased by the donors from a secondhand store in Bridgeport, CT; possibly collected by owner or manager W.P. Heuritze of the Roanoke Theater (location presently untraced), or by several managers or theaters.
