- courtship - Endeavors to gain the attention, favor, or affection of another being, usually with the intent of establishing a relationship of further intimacy or marriage; the period during which such activities take place. [April 1994 descriptor added.]
- sexuality - Use generally for the sum of an individual's sexual emotions, ideas, and behavior. For the pattern of attitudes and behavior that in any society is deemed appropriate to one sex rather than another, use "sex role."
