Print impression quality: Very good
Edition: Six were printed by Way for the set “Notes” in 1878; 100 were printed by Way for the set “Notes” in 1887. The 1878 “Notes” were published privately; the 1887 “Notes” were published by Boussod, Valadon & Co. (30 sets of six lithographs on large paper, signed; 70 sets of five lithographs on small paper, unsigned)
Marks: Inscribed on stone, lower right: butterfly monogram
Bibliography: Way 5; Levy 11 (Levy 10 is a first state before the sky was lightened).
