Edition:
Printed 1973 by the artist for the donor (former editor, Middletown Press). Adams took the photograph while he was photographing Japanese Americans held during World War II in the War Relocation Authority concentration camp at Manzanar.
Marks:
Signed in pencil on mount, lower right: “Ansel Adams”; stamped on verso of mount board: “Photograph by Ansel Adams, Route 1, Box 181, Carmel, California 93921” with title in pencil (not in artists’ hand).
