Edition: Number 166 from edition of 210 (plus ten copies hors commerce) of the set of 22 (originally 24) lithographic illustrations printed by Auguste Clot for Gustave Flaubert’s La Tentation de Saint Antoine (Paris: Editions Ambroise Vollard, 1933), 206 pages text as unbound double sheets in portfolio. This group of lithographs at the DAC consists of 22 of the original 24 "third series" Tentation illustrations printed by Clot and Blanchard in 1896; plates 1 and 8 are not included in the DAC group.
