Stage proof; edition of 10; printed by Kathan Brown at Crown Point Press; published by Parasol Press, New York City. According to Close, in telephone conversation with Gretchen Geser, ex ''84, Dewey ? was one of the printers at Crown Point Press. Close had pulled so many proofs that he was able to pull a finished edition of only ten impressions. Therefore, he gave stage proofs, rather than artist''s proofs, to the printers. Dewey probably sold this back to Bob Feldman, the publisher of Parasol Press. (December 1981)
